The object of this study is to evaluate the long-term outcome of hind limb weight-bearing function and progression of stifle osteoarthritis (OA) after tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO).

Groups were classified by the degree of cranial cruciate ligament (CrCL) damage and presence or absence of medial meniscus damage as macroscopically evaluated during surgery. Weight-bearing function was assessed via the peak vertical force (PVF), and OA progression was assessed via the radiographic OA score (OAS) preoperatively and 1, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, and 36 months postoperatively.

Cranial cruciate ligament rupture is one of the most important diseases in canine orthopedics. Despite the frequent occurrence of the disease and the extensive literature available, there is still controversy about the best treatment method.

Objective: To analyse the effect of treatment method and other risk factors on survival in dogs with cranial cruciate ligament disease (CCLD).

Objectives: To compare the proportions of dogs with thoracolumbar disc extrusion that lose pelvic limb pain perception if surgery is performed on the day of admission or delayed overnight. To describe the outcome of those dogs that deteriorate to lose pain perception.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of an autologous flexor digitorum lateralis (FDL) graft to augment a three-loop pulley (3LP) core repair in a canine cadaveric gastrocnemius tendon (GT) laceration model.

Study design: Ex vivo, biomechanical study.

Sample population: Twenty-six canine cadaveric hind limbs.

Meniscal allograft transplantation (MAT) can be a safe, effective treatment for meniscal deficiency resulting in knee dysfunction, leading to osteoarthritis (OA) without proper treatment with 5-year functional success rates (75%-90%). While different grafts and techniques have generally proven safe and effective, complications include shrinkage, extrusion, progression of joint pathology, and failure.

Study design: Retrospective case series.

Study population: Dogs (n = 21) with CCL rupture and excessive TPA treated with m-CCWO (n = 28).

Objective: To determine the effect of proximal abducting ulnar osteotomy (PAUL) on frontal plane thoracic limb alignment in standing and recumbent positions.

Study design: Ex vivo cadaveric study.

Sample population: Canine thoracic limbs (n = 15 limb pairs).
